Full-Stack IoT Monitoring Platform: Full-stack IoT software

Overview

A full-stack platform for building sensors. Devices post telemetry to a Node.js API backed by MySQL, and a React dashboard shows fleet status, device details, analytics and alerts. An offline checker flags devices that stop reporting, and a Python simulator generates realistic test traffic.

The challenge

Facility teams need one place to see which devices are online, what they measure and what needs attention, instead of checking sensors one by one.

Key capabilities

  • Fleet dashboard: total, online and offline devices, types and recent alerts
  • Device registry with type, location, status and last seen
  • Threshold and offline alerts with severity levels
  • Analytics on historical readings
  • Python device simulator and offline checker

Outcomes

  • Type-safe stack from database to UI with tRPC and Drizzle ORM
  • TypeScript checks and the automated test suite pass
  • End-to-end telemetry flow from simulated devices to dashboard
